Description

The Dead Sea’s history is fascinating; dating back to at least Biblical times. Today it is much more than just a tourist attraction, it is a border between two nations, and sometimes hotly debated. It has supplied much of Israel’s exports, providing minerals for health and beauty, pharmaceutical ingredients, and even industrial production around the world. History shows us wars were fought for control of the Dead Sea, and given recent irrigation needs, its future is uncertain.
