LIVE CLASS HELD IN-PERSON for adults ages 50 and older!
This course will briefly discuss the life and times of a very successful actor, Clint Eastwood. Alive and working at the age of 92. Clint Eastwood has made his mark on the movie business. The course will review Clint’s childhood, his time in the US Army and his early movie career. I will discuss his breakout role of Rowdy Yates in the television western, Rawhide. Then we will look at his breakout role of the Man with NO name in three spaghetti westerns starting with Fistful of Dollars. Once the 3 Italian westerns were successful around the world, Clint worked hard to create a sustainable movie career. This course will discuss his directing career that began with Play Misty For Me and continues to this day. I will review his movie successes and failures. I will discuss his personal life and his love of jazz music. Music is a big part of Clint’s life. (Note: Clint has written some of the soundtracks of his films. Example : Million Dollar Baby.) I will touch on his movie production company, Malpaso and why the company was formed. The title of this course comes from a line delivered by Clint in the Movie, Dirty Harry.
