Donatello: The First Sculptor Of The Italian Renaissance

The originality of Donatello's vision established humanistic ideals of the Early Renaissance in Italy. Creating masterpieces in marble, bronze, and wood, his work dominated Italian sculpture of the first half of the 15th century. He set the course for countless sculptors to follow including Michelangelo.
