IN-PERSON class for adults ages 50 and older!
Paul Gauguin was the embodiment of the bohemian avant-garde. Searching everywhere for an art based on principles of “primitivism”, Gauguin traveled to Brittany in northern France, Martinique, Tahiti, and finally to the Marquesas Islands where he died in 1903. After his death he would become recognized as one of the most influential artists of Modern Art.
