Who can resist a chocolate chip cookie? Did you know a girl named Ruth Wakefield invented it? Learn about Ruth and the many women inventors throughout history in this class. From windshield wipers to paper bags, women have created ways to make everyday life easier. In kitchens and living rooms, in garages, labs, and basements, even in converted chicken coops, women and girls have invented ingenious innovations that have made our lives simpler and better. What inspired these women and girls and just how did they turn their ideas into realities? So, come and learn the fascinating stories of how many of today’s modern- day conveniences came to be and meet the women and girls behind the inventions.
