Full course description
Description
Judaism introduced a revolutionary idea: that humans are individual, self-determining beings, not bound by fate or cosmic machinery. This concept launched a centuries-long journey of self-discovery, ethics, and responsibility. It reshaped how we think, laying the intellectual foundations for modern law, moral philosophy, and democracy. This course explores how one ancient tribe’s spiritual insights helped shape the modern Western mind.
