Medical Mondays with Dr. Zolli: Chronic Kidney Disease

CKD means that the kidneys are damaged to the point of not filtering the blood of its waste products efficiently. It affects 15% of the adult US population and this segment is increasing in number and importance. We cover multiple areas of CKD in our discussion: its risk factors, how it is diagnosed, managed, its potential complications and what practical DAILY steps can be taken to avoid CKD or minimize future deterioration.
