Full course description
IN-PERSON COURSE for adults ages 50 and older!
John Trumbull served in Washington's army at the Battle of Bunker Hill. However, it was his paintings rather than his soldiering that has earned him the moniker “The Painter of the Revolution”. His portrait of “George Washington at the Battle of Trenton” brings that important event in our nation's history back to life for all posterity. Along with Gilbert Stuart, John Singleton Copley, and others, these painters helped preserve the chaos of battle and the catharsis of freedom that united our new nation.
