Brilliant Italian High Renaissance artists such as Luca Signorelli, Piero di Cosimo, Primaticcio, Benozzo Gozzoli, and Sabastiano del Piombo have had the misfortune of living in the shadow of Leonardo di Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. During their careers they created great and memorable art for Popes, Princes, Kings, and Queens alike. These great artists worked at palaces such as the Fontainebleau, cathedrals such as Orvieto, and mansions of the aristocracy like the Palazzo Medici.
