Full course description
Description
The divisive passion that exploded into the Civil War also prompted the creation of some of greatest songs in American history. These songs tell tales from the frontline, of patriotism, of motivation, of the want to return back home, and of how, even in the most desperate times, a good sense of humor can carry you through. You will learn of the songs, the composers, and how artistic improvement gave new meaning to popular melodies. This is a sing-along program, so come prepared to share your voice!
