ONLINE for adults ages 50 and older!
Our American culture has been captured in detail by American artists throughout our 250 years of history. Our landscapes, our small towns, our farms, and most of all our people have provided artists with subjects unique to our nation. This unit is composed of many artists whose work defines what it is to be an American. John Trumbull, Gilbert Stuart, Thomas Cole, William Sydney Mount, George Caleb Bingham, Mary Cassatt, Grant Wood, Georgia O'Keeffe, Edward Hopper, Winslow Homer and others perfectly captured the spirit of our nation.
