Full course description

Description

LIVE CLASS HELD IN-PERSON for adults ages 50 and older!

The style of art we call “POP” (short for “Popular”) was a reaction against the non-objective painting of the 1960's. Artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg (his “Free Stamp” resides in Cleveland on “Mall C”), and George Segal chose items from consumer culture such as comic books, grocery store merchandise, celebrity photographs, and current events as the new realism of our modern commercial society.
