Description
LIVE IN-PERSON class for adults ages 50 and older!
Often called the “Anglo-Saxon” immigrants, the religious groups and nationalities we will explore in this class include more than just one NAME. These were the English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, and Germans (from Bavaria to Alsace-Lorraine). Many came as farmers or traders and others to work in the booming manufacturing industries scattered throughout the county. These included the largest group of Protestants, but also Roman Catholics and Jewish. In many ways, they represent the cornerstone of Lorain County’s immigrant and religious history.
