Full course description

Description

LIVE IN-PERSON class for adults ages 50 and older!

In many ways, this last group is our most diverse category. Some began arriving in the early 1800s while others are still arriving to this day. They represent the African-American, Hispanic, Islamic, Buddhist, etc. communities. Religion has played a major part in the daily lives of these Lorain County citizens. From small storefront churches to magnificent structures with beautiful stained glass, these groups have blended in perfectly with the multi-patterned quilt of the areas many religions and yet kept their uniqueness. Together with people from the three previously studied classes, they help make Lorain County the “melting pot” that the United States of America always hoped to exemplify.
