Explore how Elvis was influenced by the various styles of music that he heard growing up in the South, and how he altered and fused these styles into rock ‘n’ roll. Listen to the original rhythm and blues and bluegrass music that Elvis shaped into his early rock ‘n’ roll hits. Learn how his immersion into the various cultures of his Southern upbringing shaped him and his music. Why was Sam Phillips and Sun Records so important?
