Ended Oct 14, 2021
Full course description
Description
LIVE CLASS HELD IN-PERSON for adults ages 50 and older!
The art of Mexico is as rich and varied as any culture in the history of art. Since the time of the Olmec, Maya, and Aztec, the artists and architects of Pre-Columbian Mexico have produced vast ancient cities with towering pyramids, grand plazas, and ball courts. During the colonial period indigenous artists produced codices that detailed the barbarity of the Spanish conquerors. During the 20th century, Mexico produced some of the most impressive mural cycles in the history of world art.
