The Classical Ideal is fully realized in the Italian art of the 16th century in the works of Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, and Giorgione. From the architecture of Bramante to the colossal heroes of Michelangelo’s sculpture the ancient ideal of perfection is rediscovered.
