IN-PERSON class for adults ages 50 and older!

This program reveals the remarkable story of five young men from the Elyria area who, while serving a brief hundred-day enlistment during the Civil War, found themselves caught in the crucial yet little-known events that helped save Washington, D.C. from Confederate invasion in July 1864. Learn about their courage, sacrifice, and the lasting legacy honored at Ridgelawn Cemetery. Following the presentation, participants are invited to join a short walking tour of the cemetery to connect history to its resting place.
