Description

This course will continue, as scheduled.

The college is working with state and local authorities to comply with the Governor's recommendations and guidelines. For more information, Click Here.

This CPR course follows the American Heart Association guidelines and is for healthcare providers and other professional rescuers, as well as laypersons seeking infant, child and adult CPR certification. This course is intended for students both with and without a currently active AHA BLS card (2015 Guidelines for BLS training). The length of this course cannot be shortened for a renewal agenda. While the AHA did provide a renewal option for the 2010 Guidelines course, it was only 30 minutes shorter than the full course. Students are required to purchase, read and bring to class the BLS for Healthcare Provider textbook (current version). Textbook is available for purchase in the LCCC Bookstore. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the association.

Requirements

Students are required to purchase, read and bring to class the BLS for Healthcare Provider textbook (current version). Textbook is available for purchase in the LCCC Bookstore.
