This CPR course follows the American Heart Association guidelines and is intended for healthcare providers and other professional rescuers, as well as laypersons seeking infant, child and adult CPR certification. This course will use the current AHA guidelines (2020 BLS), and will satisfy the CPR requirements for LCCC Division of Health and Wellness Sciences programs.

Students are required to purchase, read and bring to class the BLS Basic Life Support textbook (current version). Textbook is available for purchase in the LCCC Bookstore. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose.
