Description

This CPR course follows the American Heart Association guidelines and is intended for healthcare providers and other professional rescuers, as well as laypersons seeking infant, child and adult CPR certification. This course is intended for students both with and without a currently active AHA BLS card. This course will use the current AHA guidelines (2020 BLS), and will satisfy the CPR requirements for LCCC Division of Health and Wellness Sciences programs.

Class sizes are limited in order to ensure proper social distancing and to allow for appropriate instructor/ student ratio, due to this all requests for transfer, withdrawals and refunds must be made a minimum of 48 hours prior to the start of class.

Materials

Students are required to purchase, read and bring to class the BLS Basic Life Support textbook (current version). Textbook is available for purchase in the LCCC Bookstore. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the association.
