FREE WEBEX INFO SESSION
MEMS stands for MicroElectroMechanical Systems. Lorain County Community College (LCCC) has an associate degree in MEMS that has been offered since 2013 and became the first community college in 2018 to offer its own bachelor's degree called Microelectronic Manufacturing. Both degrees are hands-on and industry tailored degrees designed to train someone in how to manufacture, assemble, design, and engineer electronic hardware. The degree is also very strongly related towards career placement in these fields with over 75% of the current students working at part time/internship jobs and 100% of all graduates hired at companies supporting these degrees!
The following technical info session introduces someone to what is electronic hardware manufacturing with live demonstrations of electronic assembly while answering questions related to degree content as well as career placement. The info session is designed to be interactive between the presenter and the audience.
The intended audience is those who may be interested in joining up with MEMS or want to know more about what the program is about. This is an educational opportunity to see live demonstrations, listen to and interact with the coordinator during these demonstrations, and get questions answered about the degree.
