FREE INFO SESSION
The MEMS associates degree and Microelectronic Manufacturing bachelors degrees of LCCC are both focused on training and education students to work in electronic hardware manufacturing, prototyping, design, developing, and repair/rework. If you have heard of the term “motherboard”, we train students to build them, manufacture them, design them, and repair them! Heard that Intel is moving to Columbus and makes “chips?” We train students to make the chips and work in a cleanroom. There is a strong focus in both degrees on career placement via internships, part time, or full time employment while taking classes in both degrees. LCCC has been offering the MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) degree since 2013 and began offering Ohio’s first community college bachelors of applied degree in since 2018. Both degrees are hands-on and tailored by our 80 local microelectronics industry partners and supporters. You could join the 85% of the current MEMS students working while taking classes in the degree or the 100% of all graduates that have been hired at companies supporting these degrees! The following technical infosession introduces someone to electronic hardware manufacturing with live demonstrations of electronic assembly while answering questions related to degree content as well as career placement.
The intended audience is for those who may be interested in signing up with MEMS or want to know more about what the program’s career placement opportunities and education content. This is an educational opportunity to see live demonstrations, listen to and interact with the coordinator during these demonstrations, and get questions answered about the degree and training offered in the core courses.
